Forum Offered for Horse Show Veterinarians

Forum Offered for Horse Show Veterinarians

The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) will conduct a Veterinarian Forum for Horse Show Veterinarians, November 21-23, 2008 in Anaheim, CA. Among the subjects that will be covered are: dealing with infectious disease at a horse show, medication rules and guidelines at USEF Licensed Competitions, emergency treatment of horses at shows, welfare of the horse at competitions, etc.

This forum is intended to provide practical information for veterinarians who practice at horse shows licensed by USEF. Veterinary students are also encouraged to attend. Sponsored by Vet-Stem and Adequan, this seminar fulfills 16 hours of continuing education requirements as outlined by RACE and is the first to focus on this specialized area of veterinary practice. Panelists include Dr. Amanda House of Gainesville, Florida; Dr. C. Mike Tomlinson of Thousand Oaks, CA; Dr. Stephen Schumacher of Hilliard, OH; and Janus Marquis.

For further information and a registration application, please contact Charles Walker at
cwalker@usef.org or call (859) 225-6970.
