USEA Honors Olympic Silver Medalists Gina Miles and McKinlaigh

USEA Honors Olympic Silver Medalists Gina Miles and McKinlaigh

While Eventers in this nation and across the world are well aware of the scintillating three-phase (actually, four-phase) performance that earned Gina Miles and McKinlaigh the Olympic silver medal in Hong Kong, far fewer know how hard Gina has worked behind the scenes in addressing the critical issues that have faced the sport of Eventing this year.  In particular, her leadership of the USEA Eventing Standards Task Force--to which Gina devoted countless hours at the same time she was vying for a spot on the Olympic Team--has been tireless, courageous and very positive for our sport.  In recognition of Gina's accomplishments (and of course Mac's), the USEA Board of Governors passed the following resolution at its regular summer meeting this past weekend in Reston, Virginia:

RESOLVED, that the United States Eventing Association Board of Governors congratulates Gina Miles and McKinlaigh for their outstanding achievement at the Olympic Games; FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board recognizes and thanks Gina for her extraordinary overall contribution to the sport of Eventing this year, as a competitor, as a trainer, and as an energetic volunteer in the governance of the sport.
