40 Horses Seized From California Farm

40 Horses Seized From California Farm
By Kathryn Brim, Editor

A total of 40 horses have now been removed from a farm in Myers Flat, CA. The farm was investigated by local Animal Control agents after reports of malnourished horses and poor living conditions.

According to a local news report, the horses were found standing in several feet of manure with matted coats, lice and severe hoof problems. All were well-fed. They range in age from several weeks to 23 years, and include mares, geldings and stallions.

This is not the first time the Animal Control Division has visited this residence. Horses have been removed from the property in the past following similar reports of neglect. Chronic hoarding is suspected.
