Washington Man Charged In Horse Neglect Case

Washington Man Charged In Horse Neglect Case
By Kathryn Brim, Editor

According to a Washington state news release, a 63-year old Renton man has been charged with animal abuse for the neglect and starvation of several horses and one pony.

The animals were found severely underweight, lice-infected, and confined in an area with no shelter or protection from inclement weather. It was also reported that the animals were fed only moldy bread and food scraps.

The horses are currently under the care of the Washington-based equine rescue organization, People Helping Horses. For more information on their organization or how to help, see their website http://www.peoplehelpinghorses.org/.
